Job summary

BrightPath Engineering in Los Angeles is hiring a Turner Supervisor to lead a team of turners in our manufacturing facility. You will oversee daily production, ensure parts are made to engineering drawings and specifications, and provide technical guidance to resolve issues and optimize throughput.

Applicants should have a minimum of 5 years as a Turner in manufacturing, with prior supervisory experience and strong communication abilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Turner in a manufacturing environment
• Experience in a supervisory or leadership role preferred
• Strong knowledge of engineering drawings and specifications for turning operations
• Proficient in operating turning machines such as lathes, mills, grinders
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of turners in the manufacturing process including setting work schedules and monitoring production progress
• Ensure that all turned parts are produced according to engineering drawings and specifications
• Provide technical guidance and support to turners troubleshooting any issues that may arise during production
• Monitor quality control processes to ensure that all turned parts meet required standards
• Train new turners on equipment operation and safety procedures
• Maintain inventory of tooling materials ordering replacements when necessary
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of orders
• Conduct performance evaluations for turners providing feedback for improvement when necessary
