Job summary

VirtualWorks Hub in Las Vegas is seeking a skilled Turner to join our team as a Machine Operator responsible for setting up and running lathes, milling machines and grinders to produce precision metal components.

You will read blueprints, inspect parts for quality, troubleshoot production issues, and perform routine maintenance while following safety procedures. This is a contract role requiring a high school diploma and 2+ years in manufacturing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of Turner or Machine Operator experience.
• Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints.
• Familiarity with micrometers, calipers and gauges.
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
• Strong attention to detail and precision.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

• Set up and operate lathes milling machines grinders and other machinery to manufacture metal parts
• Read and interpret blueprints specifications and work orders to determine machine setup and production methods
• Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues
• Maintain equipment by performing routine maintenance as needed
• Follow safety procedures at all times

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Turner or Machine Operator in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
• Familiarity with precision measuring instruments such as micrometers calipers and gauges
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Preferred Skills

• Experience working with CNC machines
• Knowledge of G-code programming language
• Vocational training in machining or related field

Salary $1100 per week
