Job summary

Marathon Petroleum seeks a full-time Turnaround Specialist to lead TAR events at the Mandan Refinery and Dickinson Renewable Diesel Facility. The role emphasizes planning, execution, safety leadership, and strong collaboration with Engineering, Operations, and Maintenance teams.

The position requires directing start-of-shift meetings, managing scope, and ensuring work is completed on schedule and within budget. Domestic travel between Mandan and Dickinson is expected.

Qualifications

• Requires HS Diploma or GED; engineering degree preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead turnaround scope development across all departments and capture in the Turnaround Work List.
• Review lessons learned and past turnaround reports to improve scope development.
• Verify alignment with Work Scope Approval Forms, RFIs, and schedule tools.
• Allocate planning tasks and ensure safety best practices while maximizing quality and efficiency.
• Develop manpower loading plans and site logistics for outages and turnarounds.
• Review BOMs to ensure material availability and Marathon specifications.
• Conduct planning meetings and drive adherence to turnaround milestones and deliverables.
