Job summary

Turner Industries in Kingsport, TN is seeking an experienced Pipefitter for a turnaround project. The role lays out, fabricates, assembles, installs, and maintains piping and piping systems for steam, hot water, heating, cooling, and industrial processing systems.

Non-exempt position; reports to the Foreman; duties follow specific procedures and are checked frequently. Ideal candidates have 1–4 years of pipefitting experience and are capable with field drawings, tape measures, and power tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–4 years of experience in pipefitting (level dependent).
• Able to read field drawings and engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lay out piping according to job specs and drawings.
• Cut, pre-fit, weld or join piping and fittings.
• Install and test piping systems for leaks and proper operation.
