Job summary

Senior Helpers in California is seeking experienced Caregivers/Home Care Aides to join our team in providing quality care to seniors. Responsibilities include assisting clients with personal care tasks, providing mobility support, and engaging them in activities. Candidates must have active HCA registration and prior caregiving experience.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of caregiving experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care including bathing and grooming.
• Provide mobility assistance using proper techniques.
• Engage clients in conversation and daily activities.
• Document and monitor clients' physical and emotional condition.
• Communicate updates to family members when necessary.

Experienced Caregiver / Home Care Aide

Location: Costa Mesa, Newport Beach, Fountain Valley, Irvine, Santa Ana, Orange

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour

Caregiver Responsibilities

• Assisting clients with personal care such as bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and hygiene support
• Providing mobility and transfer assistance using proper body mechanics and equipment
• Experience using Hoyer lifts and gait belts preferred
• Supporting bedridden clients and providing incontinence care
• Preparing meals and assisting with feeding when needed
• Engaging clients through conversation, companionship, walks, games, hobbies, and daily activities
• Monitoring and documenting clients’ physical, emotional, and behavioral condition
• Communicating updates with the care team and family members when appropriate

Qualifications

• Active HCA registration
• Current Negative Tuberculosis (TB)
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
• Previous caregiving experience preferred
• Experience with transfers and mobility assistance
• Compassion, patience, and professionalism
• Willingness to complete ongoing training, including Dementia, Alzheimer, and Parkinson’s care
