Halbuki Linguist Cooperative seeks a Turkish Language Instructor to teach in-person in the San Francisco Bay Area. The ideal candidate will be fluent in Turkish and English, with a background in pedagogy or linguistics and experience teaching Turkish as a second language to adults.

Teaching hours are afternoons/evenings from 3:30 PM to 7:00 PM US West Coast Time on weekdays, with generous hourly pay and opportunities for career development within a linguist cooperative.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Turkish, Linguistics, Education, or related field preferred.
• Native or near-native fluency in Turkish and working proficiency in English is mandatory.
• Experience teaching Turkish as a foreign language.

Responsabilités

• Deliver engaging Turkish language lessons to students of various proficiency levels.
• Adapt lesson plans to student needs and goals.
• Communicate scheduling and progress with program administrators.
• Incorporate Turkish culture into lessons to deepen understanding.
• Create a supportive classroom environment encouraging participation.
• Collaborate to align teaching methods and curriculum goals.
