Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to farm employees to reach farm goals.
• Order feed and set up barns for turkey production.
• Assist with maintenance, including mowing and snow removal.
• Communicate and promote core values to employees.
• Manage leadership for up to 4 employees.
• Promote Holden Farms’ core values to employees.
• Lead and develop up to 4 farm employees.
• Collaborate with management to reach goals.
• Uphold Holden Farms biosecurity programs.
• Plan, schedule, and set goals for the farm.
• Participate in hiring and onboarding of new staff.
• Conduct performance evaluations and staff development.
• Implement improvements and record-keeping across the farm.

Description

Turkey Farm Supervisor provides leadership to farm employees to reach farm and company goals. Implement and oversee brood and finishing and management programs to allow our turkey farm to produce the maximum number of pounds.

Hours

Generally - Monday-Friday 7am-4:30pm; times may vary based on business needs.

Rotating Weekend and Holiday Schedule Required

Essential Job Functions

• Ordering feed
• Setting up finishing and brood barns
• Assisting in maintenance including mowing of grass and snow removal
• Assisting with market load out including collecting animal samples for plant testing
• Responding to farm alarms
• Communicate and promote Holden Farm’s core values and goals to employees.
• Manage and provide leadership to up to 4 employees on turkey farm.
• Effectively collaborate with Turkey Division General Manager and other Management team members to reach farm and company goals.
• Understand, follow, and uphold Holden Farms Biosecurity Programs
• Perform all planning, goal setting and scheduling for a turkey farm.
• Interview and assist in finding new talent.
• Participate in onboarding and lead new hire training.
• Administer employee performance evaluations.
• Encourage employee development by identifying opportunities for growth within sow farms and company.
• Implement new ideas, and changes to obtain desired results.
• Update and maintain accurate farm records and reports.
