Job summary

SoftInWay Inc. is seeking highly motivated engineering students for a 6‑month, full‑time internship in turbomachinery design, analysis, and optimization.

You will work on real consulting projects, develop test cases, and validate studies using in-house AxSTREAM software and AxSTREAM System Simulation. You will write technical publications, attend training sessions, and participate in webinars while exploring a potential full‑time role based on performance.

Qualifications

• Master’s in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering or related science.
• GPA above 3.3 and strong interest in compressors/pumps.
• Solid turbomachinery theory, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat transfer.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the global team on turbomachinery design and analysis.
• Develop test cases and validate aero-thermodynamic and mechanical studies using AxSTREAM software.
• Write technical publications based on internal results and improve documents.
• Attend onsite/online training classes to sharpen turbomachinery skills.
• Participate in conferences, trade shows, and webinars.
• Develop and deliver software demonstrations to prospects and clients.

Job description

We are currently looking for highly motivated engineering students to intern at a fast-paced, internationally growing organization with a start-up culture. In this role, you will participate in a wide range of consulting projects, including the design, analysis, and optimization of turbomachinery components. This training internship is for a 6-month period, full-time (40 hours per week), and paid. The trainee will be offered a permanent position based on performance evaluations made upon completion of the internship period.

Responsibilities:

• Support the global team on all steps of the turbomachinery design and analysis process
• Develop test cases and perform validation on aero-thermodynamic and mechanical studies using in-house software AxSTREAM and AxSTREAM System Simulation for design, analysis, and optimization of turbines, pumps, and compressors as well as cycles
• Write technical publications based on internal results and improve existing documents
• Attend onsite/online training classes to sharpen turbomachinery fundamental skills and improve the software
• Participate in conferences and trade shows and animate technical webinars
• Develop and deliver software demonstrations to prospects and current clients

Required Qualifications:

• Master’s in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering or related science
• Recent graduates with GPA> 3.3 and strong interest in compressors/pumps
• Strong theoretical background in turbomachinery principles, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer
• Ability to pay attention to detail and strong organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ph.D. in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering or related science
• Experience with in-house software like AxSTREAM/AxSTREAM System Simulation
