  • Incorporate design modifications of existing components to increase performance, improve manufacturability, and resolve limitations.
  • Support turbomachinery-related root-cause analysis efforts.
  • Support analysis to ensure our turbopumps meet all system level requirements.
  • Collaborate with the manufacturing, analysis, and test teams to reduce part-to-part variation and discrepancies to improve product performance and yield.
  • Support assembly of first article prototypes.

  • Track record of a clear communication process between design, manufacturing, and test operations to ensure products meets all specifications.
Desired Skills and Experience:
  • 2+ years’ experience in turbomachinery design, development, and testing.
  • Experience operating in ISO 9001 or AS9100 certified organizations.
  • Demonstrated success as project lead.
  • Working knowledge of thermodynamics of incompressible flows and cryogenic fluids.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with basic principles of design for additive manufacturing
  • Liquid propellant rocket engine design, test, or analysis
  • Experience with structural and thermal analysis using Ansys FEA software
  • Experience of 3D modeling and 2D drawing creation in CAD
