Radiant is seeking a Build Engineer to bring high-speed rotating hardware from design to reality at our El Segundo, CA headquarters. This hands-on role suits new graduates or early-career engineers eager to learn by building, assembling, and integrating turbomachinery systems with cross-functional teams.

You will work with design, test, and manufacturing to prepare hardware for first-article testing and validation, gaining real-world experience in a fast-paced startup environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field is required.
• Hands-on mechanical assembly experience with rotating machinery is preferred.
• Familiarity with GD&T, fits, torque, and alignment principles is expected.

Responsibilities

• Assemble prototype turbomachinery and hardware including compressors, turbines, rotors, bearings, and housings.
• Develop precise assembly instructions, alignment procedures, and torque specs.
• Support rotor balancing, bearing installation, and alignment operations; document observations.
