Job summary

Kodiak Gas Services LLC is seeking a Turbine Technician to support mobilization, maintenance, troubleshooting, and customer interface on turbine and large power generation assets. This rotational position operates on a 28‑days‑on / 28‑days‑off schedule.

You will perform routine maintenance on gas turbines and generators, diagnose issues, complete service documentation, and interact with customers to ensure reliable operations. Travel and field conditions are integral to the role.

Qualifications

• Technical school degree, trade certification, or equivalent hands‑on field experience.
• Experience with gas turbines, reciprocating engines, or power generation equipment.
• Exposure to large power generation, compression, or distributed energy systems.
• Understanding of mechanical and electrical systems troubleshooting.
• Strong computer skills with the ability to complete service documentation and reporting.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for customer and team interaction.
• Ability and willingness to travel extensively and work in demanding field conditions.

Responsibilities

• Support mobilization and demobilization of turbine and power generation projects.
• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting on gas turbines, diesel generators, and associated power generation equipment.
• Execute standard field service work in accordance with OEM specifications and company procedures.
• Assist in diagnosing and resolving recurring mechanical, electrical, and operational issues using manuals, OEM guidance, and senior technician support.
• Conduct operational site visits and complete required service documentation, reports, and work orders.
• Provide customers with operational familiarity and basic training on equipment use and maintenance.
• Maintain effective communication with customers and internal teams to support service delivery and issue resolution.
• Follow all safety protocols, site requirements, and company policies at all times.
• Maintain travel readiness and perform work in remote locations and challenging field environments.

• Support mobilization and demobilization of turbine and power generation projects.
• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting on gas turbines, diesel generators, and associated power generation equipment.

Education, Experience & Training

Certifications

• Valid Driver’s License with a Motor Vehicle Record that meets company requirements.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

• Operation of industrial tools and heavy equipment.
• Frequent standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods of time.
• Ability to climb ladders and stairs without assitance.
• Frequent lifting of at least 10lbs; infrequent lifiting over 50lbs.
• Ability to work in high-noise environments (>85 dBA) with required hearing protection.
• Potential controlled exposure to hazardous chemicals.
• Ability to work outdoors in extreme heat or cold.
• Frequent work required in confined spaces requiring stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.

Travel Requirements

Position requires frequent travel, including overnight stands, holidays, and weekends. This is a rotational position operating on a 28 days on / 28 days off schedule.
