Job summary

Columbia Helicopters is seeking an Accessory Maintenance Technician to perform overhaul, repair, and testing of turbine engine accessories. The role requires reading maintenance manuals, inspecting components, and documenting work in records.

You will use precision tools, work overtime as needed, and support Lean initiatives to improve quality and safety. Required is a strong mechanical background with 3+ years of experience; a high school diploma is required, and an A&P license is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
• 3+ years of mechanical experience with aptitude for learning new skills.
• Airframe & Powerplant license preferred; A&P equivalency noted in posting.
• Experience in turbine engine overhaul or engine component overhaul preferred.
• Military or commercial turbine engine maintenance training preferred.
• Lean methods experience in a production environment.
• Ability to read and follow technical data for tasks.
• Ability to use precision measuring equipment and hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret maintenance manuals and data to determine task methods.
• Clean and inspect engine components and parts for damage and wear; follow shop procedures.
• Replace or repair damaged accessory parts using standard tools and PPE; assemble components.
• Use special tools to perform tests and checks to confirm serviceability.
• Document inspection findings and work performed in maintenance records.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and practice tool and FOD control.
• Perform work safely using the appropriate technical data for tasks.
• Support Lean and continuous improvement activities to reduce waste and improve quality and safety.
