MD&A in St. Louis, MO seeks an experienced welder to join our Repairs Division. The role focuses on diaphragm welds, blade ring repairs, and reading blueprints for precise layouts. Expect travel and a mix of TIG, MIG, and stick welds across power-generation components.

We require a high school diploma and welding training with level II/III experience. Opportunities include overtime, benefits, and growth within a world-class repair facility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent
• Welding vocational training or apprenticeship experience (level II/III)

Responsabilités

• Weld/Repair GE type diaphragms and Westinghouse blade rings.
• Reverse engineer and layout a diaphragm.
• Perform weld repairs with 410 SS and Inco.
• Weld repair all OEM type stationary blades.
• Perform stick weld repairs.
• Weld repair a tight throat, short pitch relative to diaphragm.
• Weld repair of nozzles.
• Westinghouse stationary blade repair in place in the unit.
• Weld repairing horizontal joints and shell fits.
• Erosion damage in the hood.
• Lashing lug weld repair.
• Perform silver solder repairs.
