Description:

Position Purpose

This is a Tumor Registrar position which is a PRN; this is a REMOTE position and MUST meet the minimum requirements.

What You Will Do

Ensure proper reporting to all organizations that the cancer data is submitted for tracking purposes. Retrieve data from medical records for research projects and prepare qualitative and quantitative analyses. Collaborate with physicians and ancillary department personnel to ensure appropriate documentation supporting diagnosis and procedures.

What You Will Need

Special Qualifications:

• Certification as Tumor Registrar (CTR) required.
• Associates degree preferred.
• High school diploma with coursework in Medical Terminology, Anatomy, and Physiology.
• Experience in NQMBC and NAPBC Certifications preferred.

Interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with Medical Staff and other healthcare personnel when compiling data for coding and record completion.
