Job summary

YMCA of Greater Houston is seeking a part-time enrichment program facilitator in Katy, TX. You will plan and deliver activities, foster a welcoming learning space, and adapt to diverse needs to support youth development and parent engagement.

You will maintain safety, track attendance, and communicate professionally with families while upholding YMCA values. Flexible hours may be available to fit center needs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum age of 18 years.
• Experience in enrichment areas; certification may be required.
• Experience working with children or in youth programs preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with children and adults.
• Ability to plan, organize, and implement age-appropriate activities.
• Desire to work with children and families with empathy and patience.
• Ability to connect with diverse backgrounds.
• CPR, First Aid, AED certifications and child abuse prevention trainings.

Responsibilities

• Plans, prepares, and delivers enrichment lessons or activities.
• Creates a safe, welcoming, and inclusive learning environment.
• Adapts instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
• Sets up and cleans up program areas before and after class.
• Supervises children under site leadership guidance.
• Maintains safe environment indoors and outdoors.
• Tracks attendance and submits reports as directed.
• Upholds YMCA core values of caring, honesty, respect, responsibility, and faith.
• Maintains professional communication with children and families.
• Supports program evaluation and improvement efforts.
