The role requires USCG credentials, Master of Towing, STCW, Radar endorsement, and NY Harbor experience. Pre-employment clearances and strong leadership are essential for this Exempt position.

Qualifications

• USCG credential and required maritime certifications.
• Master of Towing with applicable USCG endorsements.
• 200-ton license and STCW certified.
• Radar endorsement and TWIC card mandatory.
• First Aid/CPR and fire-fighting training required.
• NY Harbor experience highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Master and command of the tug or towing vessel.
• Maintain vessel seaworthiness and readiness for operations.
• Supervise crew and ensure safe, efficient towing operations.
• Serve as Officer in Charge of the Navigation Watch.
• Organize training, drills and records for safety compliance.
• Represent the company professionally with customers and port personnel.
