Overseas Shipholding Group seeks a Chief Mate to ensure the safe operation and maintenance of the vessel. This role involves direct oversight of deck operations, compliance with safety standards, and leadership of the deck crew. Ideal candidates will hold a valid USCG Chief Mate License and have a strong background in maritime safety and cargo operations.

The Chief Mate reports directly to the Master and carries out all lawful orders. As second in command, the Chief Mate is in charge of the vessel in the Master’s absence, with all crew members subject to his/her orders concerning vessel operation and maintenance. The Master remains available for consultation.
