Job summary

Engineered Floors in Georgia is seeking a Tufting Supervisor to lead the Tufting Department shift, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, cost, and production standards. The role supervises 25 to 30 hourly employees, coordinates with maintenance and technical staff, and schedules work to optimize manpower and equipment use.

It also involves training, evaluating performance, and driving continuous improvement to meet plant objectives.

Qualifications

Three or more years of experience in a tufting environment.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Efficient use of Microsoft Office, email, and CAMS.
Strong leadership, organizational, and planning abilities.
Willingness to overtime as required.

Responsibilities

Produce quality carpet while controlling costs and maintaining safety.
Supervise 25–30 hourly employees; coordinate with maintenance and technical staff.
Schedule work assignments for optimal manpower, material, and equipment use.
Assign work within sections; liaise between represented personnel and management.
Ensure materials and supplies are delivered to work areas.
Request needed equipment repairs and support on-the-job training.
Evaluate staff performance and recommend promotions or corrective actions.
Promote housekeeping and provide necessary supplies and storage.
Identify and implement improvements in techniques, procedures, and equipment.
