Job summary

Bull Moose Tube in the United States is seeking to fill an entry level position in tubing production and material handling. You will operate equipment, inspect and bundle tubing, and follow safety and quality standards across both mills.

You will read measurements, interpret customer specs, use the shop floor system, and participate in coating line setup, packaging, and transport tasks. Training is provided for those who can learn quickly and work as part of a team.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; prior manufacturing/machine operating experience preferred.
• Must be able to read and apply tape measures and gauges; understand customer specs.

Responsibilities

• Read and apply tape measure, roll groove/"L gauges/, pipe tapes
• Understand and use Shop Floor System and bundle tagging
• Select correct bundle size, number of pieces, wood spacers and all other characteristics for customers and BMT specs
• Ability to check surface condition and end condition
• Set up and operation of manual tables and bundling equipment
• Competent in their part of mill set ups
• Competent in coating line set up and operation
• Ability to check and apply pipe coating and stencil
• Correct interpretation of tubing and customer specs to achieve a match and verify this match
• Complete knowledge of Company quality requirements
• Complete knowledge of Company housekeeping rules
• Ability to understand and fill out quality sheets to properly operate a forklift as applicable
• Ability to run overhead crane
