Must-Have Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 6 months-1 year of manufacturing experience preferred
- Heat exchanger or tube manufacturing experience preferred
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Ability to perform tube rolling and stabbing operations
- Ability to perform hydrostatic testing
- Ability to assemble tube and section components
- Crane and manlift certification preferred or ability to obtain certification
- Strong attention to detail and hand-eye coordination
- Ability to follow work instructions, JSAs, and PPE requirements
- Strong safety awareness
- Ability to work in a physically demanding manufacturing environment
Position Summary
The Tube Roller is responsible for rolling, stabbing, assembling, and hydrostatically testing tubes and sections used in the manufacturing process. This position requires the ability to follow blueprints and work instructions, operate equipment safely, document testing results, and maintain quality standards throughout production. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, safety-focused, and comfortable working with industrial equipment and materials.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions
- Roll and stab tubes into sections according to specifications
- Assemble tube and section components for proper fit and function
- Perform hydrostatic testing according to established procedures
- Document hydrostatic testing results and assembly information on travelers
- Operate cranes and other equipment to safely move and position tubes and components
- Perform routine equipment inspections
- Assist with basic equipment maintenance as required
- Inspect completed work for defects and proper assembly
- Identify defective materials or components and communicate issues
- Follow JSAs, work instructions, PPE requirements, and safety procedures
- Maintain a clean and hazard-free work area
- Work efficiently while meeting production and quality requirements
- Perform other duties as assigned
Additional Qualifications
- Previous heat exchanger manufacturing experience strongly preferred
- Experience with tube assembly or industrial fabrication is a plus
- Crane or manlift experience preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Good problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
