Qualifications

• Reading work orders and safety manuals.
• Measuring with English/Metric systems using tape measures and calipers.
• Arithmetic to convert decimals and fractions.
• Knowledge of Windows software (loading design to burn).
• Minimum one year experience as a machine operator.
• Knowledge of matching procedures.
• Overhead crane or forklift experience preferred.
• Demonstrated manual/dexterity and coordination.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Position work pieces for processing, operating a single point machine to process work pieces by cutting, sawing and grinding.
• Use gauges, calipers indicators or rulers for measurement.
• Program machine from standard drawing file.
• Operate overhead crane.
• Determine processing specifications by reviewing blueprints and orders.
• Install and align blades and fixtures using gauges and tools.
• Observe machine operation to detect defects or malfunctions.
• Adjust controls for cutting speed, depth and feed rates.
• Perform routine machine maintenance such as oiling machines and dies.
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance as a saw operator.
