Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking a weekend shift manufacturing technician to support tubing fabrication and assembly. The role involves bending, forming, and installing tubing on units, performing tubing layouts per blueprints, and identifying and installing valves or devices.

Some electrical knowledge is required to operate safely. The position requires standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 lbs., with overtime potential and a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Possess complete understanding of P&ID on electrical drawings as applicable.
• Use hand tools, electrical equipment and measuring tape.
• Ability to maintain clean and safe work area and/or equipment as required.
• Active participation in a Continuous Improvement Team is required.

Shift: Weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) Hours: 5:00 am to 5:30pm Pay: $18.00 + Shift Premium + Overtime

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Bend, form and install all tubing on units.
• Do tubing layout of unit in accordance with blueprints in shop packets.
• Identify and install valves and / or devices on unit.
• Some electrical knowledge needed.

• Perform housekeeping and other duties as required

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Lifting 50 lbs. (occasional), Standing (constant),Walking (frequently), Bending (frequently), Climbing (frequently), Crawling (occasional), Reaching (frequently), Grasping (frequently), Sitting (occasional), Connecting (frequently), Pulling (frequently), Reading Prints (frequently), Judgment (frequently).
• Must understand and follow safety rules, regulations, policies and procedures. Must follow written and oral instructions. Vision corrected to 20/20. Handling equipment (frequently).

ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS:

Manufacturing – Exposure to noise, dirt, dust, cold/heat (indoor), cold/heat (outdoor). Job hazards of working around heavy equipment and machinery.

TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED:

• Tape measure, small hand tools, power tools and drills.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Possess complete understanding of P&ID on electrical drawings as applicable. Use hand tools, electrical equipment and measuring tape. Ability to maintain clean and safe work area and/or equipment as required.
• As a condition of employment, active participation in a Continuous Improvement Team is required.

HIRING HOURLY RANGE

$18.00 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location and alignment with market data.)
