Job summary

Ichor Systems, Inc. in Fremont, CA is seeking a Tube Bender to support production operations. The Tube Bender will set up, operate, and maintain tube bending equipment to manufacture components per drawings and schedules.

This is a Temp-to-Hire role with a 2:30pm–11:00pm swing shift and a 10% shift differential. The candidate will read blueprints, verify specs, perform inspections, document production data, and collaborate with Quality and Engineering to resolve issues, aiming for safety,

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
  • 1–3 years of tube bending, metal fabrication, machining, or manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Experience with CNC tube bending equipment is highly desirable.
  • Medical device, aerospace, or precision manufacturing experience is a plus.

Job Description Ichor Systems, Inc. is seeking a Tube Bender to support production operations here in Fremont, CA. The Tube Bender is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining tube bending equipment to manufacture high-quality components in accordance with engineering drawings, work instructions, and production schedules. This position ensures parts are produced accurately, efficiently, and safely while meeting quality and productivity standards. Temporary Assignment: Temp-to-Hire opportunity with potential for permanent employment based on performance, attendance, and business needs. Swing Shift - Monday through Friday 2:30pm - 11:00pm Shift Differential – 10%.

Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate manual, semi-automatic, and CNC tube bending machines.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
  • Verify material specifications and dimensions prior to production.
  • Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections using measuring instruments such as calipers, tape measures, height gauges, protractors, and angle finders.
  • Monitor machine operation and make adjustments as necessary to maintain product quality and dimensional accuracy.
  • Change tooling, dies, clamps, and machine fixtures as required.
  • Identify and troubleshoot equipment, tooling, or product quality issues.
  • Record production data and maintain accurate manufacturing documentation.
  • Utilize ERP or shop floor systems to track labor and production activities.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S and safety standards.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Production teams to resolve manufacturing issues.
  • Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, and productivity.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of tube bending, metal fabrication, machining, or manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Experience operating CNC tube bending equipment is highly desirable.
  • Medical device, aerospace, or precision manufacturing experience is a plus.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
  • Knowledge of tube bending processes, tooling, and materials.
  • Proficiency using precision measuring instruments.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to troubleshoot manufacturing and equipment issues.
  • Basic computer skills and experience with manufacturing software systems preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Frequent bending, lifting, reaching, and repetitive hand movements.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without accommodation.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to moving machinery, noise, and varying temperatures.
Preferred Qualifications
  • CNC tube bending setup and programming experience.
  • Experience with stainless steel, titanium, aluminum, or specialty alloys.
  • Forklift certification.
  • Lean Manufacturing and 5S experience.

The pay range for this position is $24.09 - $40.96 per hour. This position is classified as non-exempt and is eligible for overtime pay in accordance with applicable state and federal laws. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure, and relevant education or training.
