Qualifications

  • High school diploma.
  • 2-3 years minimum related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Previous experience operating a Di-Acro manual bender is preferred.
  • Ability to set up and operate a manual tube bender.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpiece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.
  • Understanding of basic GD&T principles.
  • Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts such as multiplication and trigonometry as fabrication requires.
  • Ability to work with team members and take direction from the supervisor.
  • Ability to focus attention on details.

Responsibilities

  • Independently set up and operate manual and CNC tubing benders to produce high purity gas lines per engineering drawing specifications.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and set up the bender with the required tooling.
  • Operate a Di-Acro manual tube bender.
  • Use measuring tools such as calipers and height gauges to inspect parts to the required dimensions and tolerances.
  • Collaborates with engineers, production personnel, programmers, maintenance, or others to resolve fabrication issues.
  • May provide training to other team members.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
