Job summary

A leading company in the food manufacturing industry is seeking a TTI Plant Operator I to support various operational areas at Heartland Farms, Inc. The role requires sanitation, line operation, and general maintenance responsibilities, with an emphasis on adhering to safety standards. Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of sanitation experience in food manufacturing preferred.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be at least 18 years old at hire.

Job description

Join to apply for the TTI Plant Operator I role at Heartland Farms, Inc.

This position provides comprehensive support across all operational areas of Top Tier Ingredients, including sanitation, line operation, truck loading and unloading, and general plant maintenance. The successful candidate will be cross-trained and may be called upon to cover breaks, days off, and other coverage needs.

Additional shift differential of $1.00 per hour is offered.

Core Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and sanitizing process equipment to ensure a clean environment for receiving, production, and packaging, complying with food manufacturing and sanitation regulations.
  • Supporting general operations such as covering breaks, loading/unloading trucks, and cleaning the plant and break areas. Adheres to safety protocols, reports defective equipment and injuries, and follows SOPs.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Ability to operate equipment like floor jacks, trash compactors, vacuum cleaners, and scrubbers safely and effectively.
  • Works independently at high efficiency.
  • Trained in Lock-out Tag-out and Bloodborne Pathogens protocols.
  • Supports Continuous Improvement initiatives.
Preferred Experience
  • At least 1 year of sanitation experience in food manufacturing preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Climb stairs/ladders, walk on catwalks, and work around equipment.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs regularly and 100 lbs occasionally.
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be at least 18 years old at hire.
Work Schedule
  • Expected 40-50 hours per week, 5-6 days depending on seasonal demand.
