Job summary

Continental in Mount Vernon, WA seeks a QA Tire Technician to schedule and monitor truck tire testing, analyze sections for QA surveillance, and report results. This role maintains equipment, interfaces with Tire Technology and Engineering, and supports data reporting while upholding safety and ESH policies.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, and preferred associates degree with manufacturing experience.

Job Description

Insure truck tire testing is scheduled, monitored, shipped, and reports are issued. Analyze Truck Tire sections as required for QA Surveillance Testing.

1. CTD Excellence, interface with local PI, local PE, Central QM.
2. Monitor QA surveillance test results.
3. Participate in 02I warranty return meetings.
4. Maintain calibration and working condition of equipment.
5. Interface with Corporate Tire Technology, and Engineering on test related issues.
6. Perform other duties as directed by the QA Manager.
7. Analyze new tire startup cut tire sections .
8. Analyze anomalous tire sections to determine root cause of scrap IV as requested.
9. Audit QA Warehouse holds including trailer lock out tags.
10. Lead customer satisfaction initiatives (tire sort) in local and external warehouse or customer location.
11. Perform the duties of QA Tire Cutter, QA Grader as a backup to these positions as requested.
12. Maintain storage and retention of all cut tire sections as per QMD requirements.
13. Data reporting and other tasks as assigned by Supervisor.
14. Ensure all ESH procedures, policies and legal requirements are implemented and monitored

The starting annual salary for this role is $64,613 a year.

Basic Qualifications:

• The job is within a non-climate controlled environment where you will be exposed to temperature swings (hot/cold), forklift and pedestrian traffic, and noise. Majority of work completed in a high heat environment.
