Job summary

Continental Tire the Americas, LLC is seeking a Truck Tire Curing Setup Tech to install and change molds on curing presses, remove and install bladders, and perform venting and mold maintenance. The role requires adherence to safety protocols and hands-on troubleshooting in a challenging manufacturing environment.

Applicants should have a High School Diploma or GED, with 1 year of Continental manufacturing experience or 2 years of mechanical experience; an Associates Degree is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship).
• Associates Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

Job Description

The Truck Tire Curing Setup Tech will:

Setup and make mold changes for Truck Tire Curing Presses. Removal and installation of all bladders. Clean and drill venting in molds. Troubleshoot all curing presses and make minor adjustments as needed.

• Perform mold and bladder changes as needed.
• Perform other duties as directed by the Truck Tire Curing Shift Supervisor, and/or Department Manager.
• Troubleshoot curing presses, and make minor emergency adjustments.
• Build and tear down bladders.
• Ensure serial changes in molds.
• Perform MTC, and TPM.
• Tearing down and cleaning segmented molds, drilling molds, and cleaning of molds in press.
• Perform and adjust squeeze audits, cure cycle audits and cure temperature audits accordingly to specs.
• Ensure all ESH procedures, policies and legal requirements are implemented and monitored.

NOTE: May not be inclusive of all work required and may be updated as needed.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED and 1 year Continental Manufacturing experience or 2 years mechanical experience.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas now or in the future for this job posting.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous manufacturing experience or Associates Degree

ENVIRONMENT

• Safety is our highest priority and safety procedures/ guidelines must be always adhered to. This includes safety wear such as hearing protection and steel toe shoes.
• New Hires will likely be placed on a shift that includesevenings and weekends.
• The job is within a non-climate controlled environment where you will be exposed to temperature swings (hot/cold), forklift and pedestrian traffic, and noise. Majority of work completed in a high heat environment.
• The role involves various physical tasks, including lifting, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, and operating machinery, with comprehensive training provided.

The starting annual salary for this role is $64,613 a year.
