We are seeking a dynamic and seasoned TLL Certified Heavy Equipment Operator to join our faculty team. This role is integral to our operations, requiring a professional with a strong background in heavy equipment operation and certification through NCCCO. This is a full-time position, running courses Monday to Thursday for ten hours a day with new classes every three weeks.

Responsibilities

  • Teach adult learners how to safely operate heavy equipment and/or cranes.
  • Understand and execute pre-existing course curriculum
  • Measure student's ability to understand and apply coursework both in written and practical exams
  • Record Student attendance
  • Assess and record student progress using SAP
  • Participate in professional development activities

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent. A degree in a related field is preferred.
  • LAT Certification in Heavy Equipment Operation.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience operating heavy equipment in a manufacturing setting.
  • Proven ability to use rigor and signal skills to interpret and respond to complex operational situations.
  • Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Commitment to adhering to all safety guidelines and regulations.
  • Proven track record of reliability and punctuality.
  • Ability to train and mentor junior team members.
  • Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Willingness to participate in continuous improvement initiatives and professional development opportunities.
