Position Summary

The Warehouse Associate - Delivery Driver delivers customer orders or freight using vehicles with a GVW of less than 26,000 pounds, following safe driving, unloading, customer service, and operational practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with or perform loading of delivery vehicles.
  • Deliver customer orders safely and efficiently.
  • Operate delivery vehicles including flatbeds, pickups, stake-bodies, and box trucks.
  • Provide courteous service at job sites.
  • Complete delivery documentation accurately.
  • Report unsafe vehicle conditions or maintenance needs.
  • Perform warehouse housekeeping duties.
  • Handle merchandise returns and related documentation.
  • Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and maintenance.
  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness and appearance.
  • Follow safety procedures and report incidents immediately.
  • Practice safe lifting and material handling.
Qualifications
  • Valid driver’s license with medical card.
  • Ability to pass drug screening.
  • Basic math skills for material calculations.
  • Knowledge of lumber and building materials preferred.
  • Experience in delivery and customer service (2-4 years preferred).
  • Forklift certification (training provided).
  • Excellent customer service skills.
Physical and Work Environment
  • Ability to talk and hear regularly.
  • Vision requirements include close and night vision.
  • Work may be outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift and carry over 100 pounds.
  • Exposure to heavy equipment and delivery vehicles.
  • Operate manual transmission vehicles.
