Job summary

NLT Management Services is seeking an immediate Transportation Security Officer (TSO) at the Frederick Douglas Rochester International Airport (ROC) in Rochester, NY. The role includes screening passengers and baggage, document checks, and enforcing security procedures both inside and outside the sterile area.

The position requires at least a high school diploma (preferred) and 1 year of Transportation Security Screening or customer service experience (preferred).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• 1 year experience in Transportation Security Screening or customer service (Preferred).
• Driver's License (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Screening persons both entering and inside the airport’s sterile area;
• Screening baggage and other items destined for an aircraft or airport’s sterile area;
• Travel document checking (TDC);
• Executing security activities on and off-airport grounds, including VIPR screening, Playbook, and BDA;
• Security Training;
• Preventative maintenance of designated screening equipment;
• Temporary screening for pilots and surge requirements (as needed); and Screening workforce management.

The Frederick Douglas Rochester International Airport (ROC) security screening services include, but are not limited to:

• Screening persons both entering and inside the airport’s sterile area;
• Screening baggage and other items destined for an aircraft or airport’s sterile area;
• Travel document checking (TDC);
• Executing security activities on and off-airport grounds, also known as layered security programs, such as Visible Intermodal Prevention and Response (VIPR) screening, Playbook, and Screening of Passengers by Behavior Detection & Analysis (BDA);
• Security Training;
• Preventative maintenance of designated screening equipment;
• Temporary screening for pilots and surge requirements (as needed); and Screening workforce management.

Education:
