Job summary

Acclaim Technical Services (ATS) is hiring a System Administrator to manage enterprise infrastructure in Chantilly, VA. The role requires hands-on NetApp storage, VMware virtualization, scripting, and automation to support patching, configuration, and accreditation.

The successful candidate will develop automation with Ansible and Bash, manage PKI and LDAP services, and contribute to system security and compliance across complex environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 3 years of experience administering complex infrastructure including storage, virtualization, and cloud platforms.
• Experience implementing automation to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual intervention.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain NetApp storage systems for optimal performance and availability.
• Manage VMware virtualization infrastructure including vSphere/ESXi environments.
• Execute hardware patching procedures across enterprise systems and maintain security.
• Develop and maintain Ansible scripts for configuration management and automation workflows.
• Create and optimize Bash scripts for system administration tasks.
• Implement automation solutions for routine patching and maintenance of OS.
• Support cloud infrastructure patching with automation tools.
• Manage PKI infrastructure and x509 certificate lifecycle.
• Administer LDAP directory services and authentication mechanisms.
• Support system accreditation processes including documentation and compliance validation.
• Monitor system performance and address issues proactively.
• Coordinate planned maintenance windows with minimal disruption.
• Document system configuration, procedures, changes, and troubleshooting steps.
• Operate as a DTO (Data Transfer Officer).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align infrastructure with business objectives.
• Provide technical guidance and knowledge transfer to team members.
• Support incident response and root cause analysis for infra issues.
