Job summary

CATHEXIS seeks a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) with a TS/SCI Poly clearance to manage and optimize Kubernetes clusters and cloud infrastructure. You will work on building data-driven, scalable AI solutions and contribute to automation, security, and compliance across environments.

The role requires hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), plus a collaborative, proactive mindset in an Agile setting.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI Poly clearance required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• A minimum of two (2) years of experience with on-prem and cloud environments.
• Experience with AWS and/or Azure.
• Hands-on with Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Helm, PostgreSQL.
• Experience with distributed storage technologies (NFS, HDFS, Ceph, S3) and resource management (Mesos, Kubernetes, Yarn).
• Proactive problem solver with agile mindset and strong teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage Kubernetes clusters ensuring stability and scalability.
• Deploy, monitor, and scale applications; maintain Helm charts and resource allocation.
• Design and maintain Docker-based microservices deployments across environments.
• Work with AWS/Azure/GCP to configure infrastructure using Terraform/CloudFormation.
• Set up monitoring and incident response for Jenkins and Kubernetes clusters.
• Build automation tools for scaling and maintaining infrastructure (Ansible, Terraform).
• Collaborate with development, services, and operations teams for seamless integration.
• Ensure security and compliance with RBAC, encryption, and vulnerability scanning.
