Job summary

Qualifications

Job Description

A leading aerospace and defense client is seeking a Sr. Space Systems Engineer to support the design, integration, and verification of advanced satellite constellations and their associated ground and launch systems. Day-to-day, this person will lead and contribute to system and subsystem design efforts, ensuring requirements are properly defined, decomposed, and validated across the architecture. They will work closely with customers to support CONOPS development, mission architecture definition, and requirements derivation while also driving development of key systems engineering artifacts including system architecture, requirements, interface control documents, and trade studies. This role will collaborate across engineering teams to support integration and test activities, ensuring alignment across space, ground, and launch segments. The engineer will apply both traditional and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) approaches, contribute to technical documentation and presentations, and help resolve complex engineering challenges while supporting overall program execution and system delivery. This position will be on-site in Englewood, Colorado and is offering a base salary of $116,480 - $208,505k based on years of experience.

• Active Top Secret clearance TS/SCI clearance


• Experience supporting customer-facing engineering efforts (CONOPS, mission shaping, architecture)


• Familiarity with tools: Cameo / MagicDraw, DOORS, STK, Atlassian (Jira, Confluence)


• Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)


• Exposure to design reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR)


• Experience supporting new business or internal R&D efforts
