Job summary

Prescient Edge is seeking a SME Special Security Technician to support a federal government client in Huntsville, Alabama. You will assist the Special Security Officer, certify SCI visitor clearances, and conduct security briefings on classified material.

As a CAP security specialist, you will implement lifecycle program protection for USSPACECOM, educate colleagues on CAP/SAP/SAR policies, and support audits of classified materials and SCIFs.

Qualifications

• Assist the Special Security Officer (SSO) to ensure control of access to SCI/SCIFs; certify SCI visitor clearances and access; conduct SCI security briefings and indoctrinations; obtain signed NDAs.
• Serves as a CAP security specialist for lifecycle program protection management for USSPACECOM and implements protocols to reduce espionage and unauthorized disclosure risks.
• Develops, implements, and integrates CAP program protection requirements supporting CAP/SAP/SAR policies, plans, and procedures.
• Trains and manages daily development of personnel on CAP/SAP program protection requirements.
• Provides CAP/SAP/SAR security operations, analysis decisions, and DoD/USSPACECOM-compliant recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Assist the SSO to control access to SCI/SCIFs and certify visitor clearances.
• Conduct SCI security briefings, indoctrinations, and training on classified material.
• Provide guidance for processing SCI position and eligibility requests.
• Implement CAP/SAP/SAR protection for USSPACECOM operations.
• Audit classified material storage facilities, SCIFs, and related policy.
