Job summary

Avid Technology Professionals seeks a Software Developer stationed in Annapolis Junction, MD. TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is mandatory, with a strong JavaScript backend focus on ServiceNow and Glide.

Required are a related IT degree, ServiceNow CSA certification, and proven Agile/Scrum experience in federal or commercial environments. You will collaborate with industry partners and work on client sites during core hours 0900-1500.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active TS/SCI Clearance with Polygraph.
• Bachelor’s degree preferably in an IT related field and a minimum of 6 years of related experience; or a master’s with 4 years of experience; an Associates with 8 years of experience.
• Extensive backend development experience with JavaScript’s programming language and how it applies to ServiceNow, along with ServiceNow Glide.
• ServiceNow developer certification, preferably Certified System Administrator (CSA).
• Understanding of and support with best practices across both commercial and federal sectors as it relates to workflow and process management.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with proven ability to team with industry partners.
• Ability to estimate work effort requirements efficiently and appropriately.
• Ability to communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong public speaking skills and professional demeanor required.
• Experience in scrum and agile frameworks for development to include task management, performing stand-ups and sprint reviews, gathering requirements, and creating documentation.
• Must remain on the client site during Program core hours of 0900-1500.

Responsibilities

• Develop backend using JavaScript for ServiceNow and Glide.
• Maintain and implement best practices for workflow and process management in federal contexts.
• Estimate work effort and communicate effectively in fast-paced environment.
• Participate in Scrum/Agile ceremonies: stand-ups, sprint reviews, requirements gathering, documentation.
• Stay on client site during core hours 0900-1500.
