Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. is seeking a Network Installs Admin to install, operate and maintain network infrastructure while troubleshooting issues to ensure continuous service. You will document network diagrams and coordinate with customer engineers to ensure proper monitoring and access control.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree required.
• 3+ years of related experience.
• US Citizenship required (Yes).
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II and CCNA certifications preferred; ITIL v3 Foundation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform planning, installation, configuration, operations and maintenance; documentation; network coordination and engineering activities related to network services.
• Coordinate with customer network engineers to document installed equipment in the network monitoring system and access control system.
• Conduct off-site surveys, installation, configuration, maintenance, documentation, hardware support and testing at CONUS/OCONUS locations as required.
• Plan and coordinate major IT initiatives; develop and execute contingency plans for network software and hardware failures.
• Provide internal consulting and technical guidance to developers, operations, and management.
• Assist in internal training and coordinate with network team leads to resolve cross-team issues.
