Job summary

Cherokee Preting LLC in Springfield, Virginia is seeking a Network Engineer III to support a government customer. This role requires an active TS/SCI clearance and will focus on requirements analysis, development and implementation of network solutions.

Responsibilities include serving as the technical representative, engineering and implementing projects, evaluating new technologies, and ensuring compliance with DoD standards. Position is full-time with benefits, located in Springfield, VA.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with ability to obtain polygraph.
• 10+ years of related technical experience in Network and Transport technologies.
• 5+ years in large-scale enterprise/global networks.
• Experience with CISCO/Juniper hardware and IPSEC VPN.
• Experience with network design, engineering and implementation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Focus on requirements analysis, development and implementation.
• Engineer and implement solutions based on change requests.
• Serve as technical representative for assigned projects.
• Provide recommendations on new actions items.
• Coordinate issues with owners/organizations.
• Develop network architecture diagrams.
• Support network traffic analysis and bandwidth optimization.
• Ensure compliance with Government policies and DoW frameworks.
• Perform requirements traceability and validation.
