Job summary

Abacus Technology Corporation seeks a Network Automation Engineer to support the Air Force Intranet Control III program at Maxwell AFB/Gunter Annex. The role focuses on automating provisioning and changes across a global 24/7 network, and requires TS/SCI clearance and Security+ certification.

The engineer will develop scripts, handle data collection for reporting, and troubleshoot complex network issues, contributing to secure, efficient network operations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of scripting to automate network devices.
• HS diploma or GED on record.
• Security+ certification required.
• Must hold CCNP and Palo Alto certs.
• Experience with Python, TCL, Go, PowerShell, and Perl for provisioning and data collection.
• Experience with network automation tools: Ansible, Terraform, Netmiko, PyATS, Puppet, Chef.
• Experience configuring and troubleshooting routers, load balancers, firewalls, and switches.
• US Citizen with TS/SCI clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scripts and automation tools for network device provisioning, enterprise changes, and data collection for reporting.
• Assist in diagnosing and remediating advanced network problems and drive innovative solutions to reduce failure.
• Reduce manual tasks and improve service delivery for a global 24/7 network of routers, VPNs, load balancers, firewalls, servers, and switching gear.
