Job summary

Nortex Cyber Solutions is seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Engineer / Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) to support the security authorization, assessment, and continuous monitoring of mission-critical information systems. This role requires strong RMF, security controls, system hardening, and vulnerability management expertise, with the ability to develop and maintain authorization packages.

The position involves working in NSA environments and collaborating with engineering teams

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph required at hire.
• Strong RMF lifecycle knowledge and DoD/DoDI guidance familiarity.
• Experience building RMF packages and supporting evidence.
• Hands-on experience with MASS and/or Xacta for security package management.
• Proficiency with vulnerability scanning tools (ACAS/Nessus) and remediation support.

Responsibilities

• Support RMF lifecycle for systems seeking/maintaining authorization.
• Develop, review, and maintain security packages and supporting evidence.
• Apply NIST SP 800-53 and RMF requirements to systems.
• Use MASS/Xacta to maintain authorization documentation.
• Conduct security assessments and coordinate IATTs as needed.
• Evaluate configurations against STIGs and CIS benchmarks.
• Perform vulnerability scanning and remediation tracking.
• Collaborate with engineers to validate security controls and capabilities.
