Job summary

B4Corp is seeking an ETL Java developer in Bethesda, MD, to provide Agile DevOps support for mission-critical systems. The role requires TS/SCI with polygraph, a Bachelor’s degree, and 0-16+ years experience across ETL, Java, and cloud data services.

Qualifications

• Familiar with ETL activities including parser development and deployment; data flow management; data lifecycle policies.
• Familiar with data modeling.
• Familiar with relational databases, such as MySQL, that utilize SQL queries.
• Familiar with using Java for data processing, manipulation or querying (SQL or NoSQL).
• Familiar with ETL/Data Integration using Spring, NiFi, Kafka, and Elasticsearch.
• Familiar with development in Commercial Cloud Platforms (ex, AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
• Familiar with cloud data services (e.g., S3, RDS, EFS).
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).

Responsibilities

• Designing and implementing a large scale ingest system in a big data environment.
• Read, analyze and digest enterprise data needs and design the best ELT process.
• Recommend methodologies to optimize storage, organization and availability of large-scale data.
• Participate in software programming initiatives using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Java, Python, SpringBoot, and Hibernate.
• Develop and direct software validation and testing methods using JUnit and Katalon.
• Develop and integrate custom software solutions to leverage automated deployment technologies.
• Develop, prototype and deploy solutions within Commercial Cloud Platforms leveraging cloud services.
• Coordinate infrastructure needs driven by software to meet customer mission requirements.
• Support the Agile software development lifecycle following SAFe practices.
• Use GitHub, Jenkins, Unix bash scripting for DevOps tasks.
• Document and deploy build artifacts across environments using GitFlow.
• Leverage JIRA and Confluence to track activities.
• Coordinate with team members, Product Owners and Scrum Masters on user stories.
• Communicate key project data to team members and build cohesion.
• Hold meetings with PMO and enterprise stakeholders.
