Job summary

Xcelerate Solutions in Bethesda, MD is seeking an Elastic Search Engineer to build, deploy, and maintain scalable nosql databases as part of our microservice ecosystem. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and apply GitOps practices to strengthen deployment and security on Kubernetes.

Required clearances and certifications include active TS/SCI with Polygraph, DoD 8570.01M IAT II, and 8+ years of relevant experience. Proficiency with Elasticsearch, Redis, and Linux is expected.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph ability.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS or engineering with 8+ years of experience.
• DoD 8570.01M IAT Level II certification (Security+, CySA+, etc.).
• Experience deploying containerized apps on Kubernetes and cloud-native platforms.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, triage, debug, and maintain production databases like Elasticsearch and Redis.
• Design and support configuration management strategies across air-gapped networks.
• Partner with Systems Engineers to architect new capabilities.
• Contribute to monitoring capabilities and proactive notifications.
• Contribute to engineering docs, diagrams, and models.
• Participate in Agile release planning, scrums, and design sessions.
