Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to support a mission-critical DoD program in San Diego, CA. This role focuses on automating, deploying, and managing enterprise infrastructure and Kubernetes-based environments within a secure setting.

You will collaborate with Platform Engineering, Cybersecurity, Software Development, and Operations to improve deployment efficiency, resiliency, and lifecycle management across environments.

Qualifications

• TS/SCI clearance required.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering/IS and 10+ years of experience; OR a Master's with 5+ years.
• 15+ years of equivalent professional experience in lieu of degree.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain IaC and automation using Ansible and GitOps.
• Design and optimize CI/CD pipelines for enterprise deployments.
• Maintain Kubernetes-based applications and services deployments.
• Support onboarding through development, testing, staging, and production.
• Ensure governance and compliance reporting for deployments.
• Troubleshoot deployment issues and improve platform resiliency.

Insight Global is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to support a mission-critical DoD program in San Diego, CA. This individual will play a key role in automating, deploying, and managing enterprise infrastructure and Kubernetes-based environments within a highly secure environment. The ideal candidate is passionate about Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), automation, GitOps methodologies, and building reliable CI/CD pipelines that support secure software delivery.

This engineer will collaborate closely with Platform Engineering, Cybersecurity, Software Development, and Operations teams to improve deployment efficiency, strengthen platform resiliency, and support application lifecycle management across multiple engineering environments.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and automation solutions utilizing Ansible and GitOps methodologies
• Design, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines supporting enterprise platform and application deployments
• Develop automation for deployment, configuration, validation, and maintenance of Kubernetes-based applications and services
• Support application onboarding through development, integration, testing, staging, and production environments
• Maintain GitOps workflows and deployment processes supporting application lifecycle management
• Enhance governance processes for application promotion and deployment across engineering environments
• Identify inefficiencies within existing DevSecOps processes and implement automation to improve reliability and operational efficiency
• Partner with application vendors and software development teams to integrate applications into enterprise platforms
• Develop and maintain configuration management automation and compliance reporting capabilities
• Create automated solutions for operating system configuration, platform provisioning, infrastructure validation, and application deployment
• Apply systems engineering best practices throughout the software development lifecycle
• Troubleshoot deployment issues and implement scalable solutions to improve platform performance and resiliency
• Produce technical documentation, implementation guides, and operational procedures supporting developed solutions
