Qualifications

  • 12+ years of infrastructure and cloud engineering experience.
  • 5–8 years of DevSecOps engineering experience.
  • Proficient with Terraform and Ansible automation.
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Familiar with static and dynamic security scanning tools.
  • Secrets management experience.
  • Scripting in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Agile SDLC experience.
  • Cloud security frameworks; AWS/Azure DevOps certifications.
  • CISSP and/or CKA are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Build, maintain, and secure CI/CD pipelines.
  • Automate build, test, security scanning, and deployment processes.
  • Embed security testing throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Implement container and cloud security practices.
  • Manage source code repositories and branching strategies.

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer for a leading government services client. This individual will join a newly established team focused on advancing secure cloud modernization efforts and introducing AI capabilities within a federal environment. This person will integrate security practices into software development and infrastructure operations by automating secure delivery pipelines, compliance controls, vulnerability management, and deployment processes. The engineer will serve as the team's primary subject matter expert, helping establish standards that other engineering teams will follow while also presenting technical recommendations and strategic roadmaps to senior leadership and government stakeholders. This is a high-impact opportunity for someone who thrives in greenfield environments and enjoys building scalable, secure solutions from scratch.

Responsibilities include:
  • Build, maintain, and secure CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab, and Azure DevOps.
  • Automate application build, test, security scanning, and deployment processes.
  • Embed security testing throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Implement container and cloud security practices.
  • Manage source code repositories and branching strategies.
  • Automate compliance checks and configuration validation.
  • Support vulnerability remediation and risk reduction efforts.
  • Collaborate with developers, cybersecurity teams, and operations teams.
