Job summary

ABSC is seeking a TS/SCI-cleared DevOps Engineer – Platform Deployment & Support to support the NGA Data Modernization Services program. The role combines platform installation, automation, and technical troubleshooting in classified environments, with on-site work required at Herndon, VA and other listed locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in CS/Engineering/IS/IT or related field; two years’ relevant experience may substitute.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with ability to obtain a polygraph.
• Experience installing, configuring, deploying, or troubleshooting software or platform capabilities.
• Experience supporting technical incidents or customer issues in production/service-desk environments.
• Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS/GCP/Azure).
• Experience with Linux, scripting languages (Python/Go/Java/Bash).
• Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and tools; Docker/container deployments; basic Kubernetes/OpenShift knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, validate, upgrade, patch, and sustain the Syntasa platform in classified environments.
• Support deployments within restricted, disconnected, and air-gapped environments.
• Follow approved procedures for introducing software and deployment artifacts into classified environments.
• Validate configurations, dependencies, data connections, security settings, and operational readiness post-install/upgrades.
• Coordinate deployments and troubleshooting with ABSC, Syntasa engineers, and government stakeholders.
• Provide customer-facing technical support for platform incidents and service requests.
• Triage tickets, gather information, reproduce issues, analyze logs, document actions, and escalate when required.
• Maintain ticket updates with findings, actions, impact, status, workarounds, and resolutions.
• Communicate issues and statuses clearly to government customers and program leadership.
• Troubleshoot Linux, containers, Kubernetes, databases, APIs, certificates, storage, networking, and app config.
• Assist with cloud/on-prem infrastructure using IaC and automation tools; deploy apps and platform components in AWS, GCP, or similar.
• Develop and maintain installation guides, troubleshooting procedures, and knowledge articles.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, reviews, deployments, and troubleshooting meetings.
