Job summary

ARSIEM Corporation seeks a Cyber Network Defense Analyst (CNDA) to monitor network activity and analyze for suspicious behavior for a Government client in Arlington, VA. You will characterize traffic, validate alerts, document incidents, perform trend analysis, and generate daily reports using cyber defense tools, IDS data, and signature development experience.

Requirements include a BS in a related field or 4+ years of relevant experience, 2+ years in cyber defense, experience with Snort and

Qualifications

BS in CS, Cyber Security, Computer Engineering, or related field; or HS Diploma with 4+ years of investigations.
2+ years of direct cyber defense analysis experience with leading tools.
Experience developing and deploying signatures.
Experience detecting host and network intrusions via IDS (e.g., Snort).
Experience incident handling methodologies and protocol analyzers.
Experience collecting data from cyber defense resources.

Responsibilities

Characterize and analyze network traffic to identify anomalous activity and threats.
Coordinate with enterprise cyber defense staff to validate alerts.
Document and escalate incidents with history, status and impact.
Perform cyber defense trend analysis and reporting.
Provide daily summaries of network events related to defense practices.
Validate IDS alerts against network traffic using packet analysis tools.
Assist in constructing signatures for defense tools against threats.
