Job summary

QinetiQ US is seeking a Mid-Level Contracts Specialist to support the U.S. Space Force programs and mission partners. The role requires navigating FAR/DFARS, leading source selections, and managing contract and subcontract actions across pre- and post-award phases.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s or higher and has 5+ years of related experience, with 7+ years in federal contracting. Strong written and verbal communication is essential for senior leadership interactions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in a related field.
• TS/SCI clearance eligibility.
• 5+ years experience in Business, Contract Management, Public Administration, Law, Finance, or related field.
• 7+ years of federal contracting or acquisition experience across pre-award and post-award phases.
• Knowledge of FAR and DFARS, including FAR Part 15 source selection procedures and FAR Subpart 9.5 organizational conflicts of interest.
• Experience with contract negotiation, administration, and execution, as well as subcontract management.
• Experience performing cost and price analysis of material, equipment, and production cost estimates, performance requirements, and delivery schedules.
• Experience managing IDIQ contracts and developing acquisition strategies.
• Ability to interpret contract terms and conditions and advise management on rights, obligations, and risk mitigation.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist Government with source selections under FAR 9.505-4, including documentation and evaluations.
• Provide contract and subcontract management support.
• Assist Government Contracting Officers in negotiating and executing contracts and amendments.
• Provide guidance and leadership for program and business management teams.
• Advise management on contractual rights, obligations, risk mitigation, and strategy.
• Support management of IDIQ contracts and development of acquisition strategies.
