Job summary

NewGen Technologies is seeking a Systems Administrator to assist with database sizing, management, and routine maintenance of our infrastructure across develop, test, training, and production environments. The role collaborates with Software Developers, DevOps, and Data Engineers to deliver secure, scalable solutions for national-security-related projects.

Qualifications

• TS/SCI FSP Clearance (required)
• SQL experience with 7+ years
• OS administration: 4+ years Linux/Windows
• Elasticsearch: 2+ years
• Kubernetes: 2+ years
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Deploy, provision, and secure AWS resources (EC2, S3, RDS, EBS, CloudWatch, VPC)
• Assist with database sizing, management, and server security
• Build, maintain, and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, GitHub, Jenkins)
• Design, build, maintain Kubernetes clusters for development productivity
• Run vulnerability scans, patch infrastructure, manage VPNs, SSL/TLS certificates
• Maintain and update software architecture for scalability and best practices
