Job summary

Twenty seeks a versatile software engineer for a government customer site in a restricted air-gapped environment. You will extend and operate Twenty’s mission-critical platform, building features, data integrations, and AI-backed capabilities under Arlington guidance.

You will own production systems end-to-end, collaborate with Arlington specialists, and report to the VP of Engineering. On-site work in Northern Virginia is required, with periodic travel to Arlington.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience in production.
• Strong generalist programming ability in Go, Python, or TypeScript.
• Experience building backend services end-to-end: design, test, deploy, operate.
• Experience debugging production systems with logs and traces.
• Operational fluency: Linux CLI, containers, and observability tooling.
• Ability to work on-site at a government facility with independent judgment.

Responsibilities

• Design and build customer-specific features and integrations.
• Understand user needs and scope trade-offs between speed and robustness.
• Write testable and auditable code for restricted environments.
• Follow security standards with no hardcoded secrets and audit readiness.
• Develop data integrations and AI-backed capabilities with Arlington guidance.
• Participate in deployments, on-call, and post-incident reviews.
