Job summary

IBM in Bethesda, MD is seeking a senior Data Engineer with Advanced Analytics to design, build, and deploy data-driven solutions for decision support in the national security domain. You'll work with Python, SQL/NoSQL, and GenAI tools, applying NLP and regex techniques to develop analytics for DoW ISR and security-related decision support.

Qualifications

• US Citizen with active TS//SCI clearance or eligible per DISS database
• Bachelor's Degree, preferably in STEM fields
• 2+ years of experience applying data engineer or software development skills to develop analytic tools and data visualization capabilities
• 2+ years of experience using Python or similar languages (Ruby, Java, R)
• 2+ years of experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
• 1+ year of experience leveraging prompt engineering and GenAI tools in a professional context
• Experience with advanced text parsing tools including regex and NLP

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and manage data solutions including data preparation, statistical analysis, data collection, data mining, and deploying results
• Perform statistical analysis and data mining to identify trends and present findings using predictive analytics tools
• Formulate mathematical approaches such as optimization, discrete-event simulation, and rules programming
• Prepare and collect data ensuring data quality and integrity
• Deploy analysis results to stakeholders with insights and recommendations for business improvement
