The role involves setting up data feeds, writing Spark-based transformations, and collaborating with SMEs and product teams to deliver a robust data platform. The position emphasizes rapid development, testing, and troubleshooting in a fast-moving environment.

Qualifications

• Required TS/SCI security clearance and U.S. citizenship.
• Strong engineering background in fields such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics, or Data Science.
• Proficiency in Python (PySpark, Pandas), SQL, R or similar languages.
• Strong understanding of algorithms and data structures as they relate to development and problem solving.
• Ability to work effectively in teams of technical and non-technical individuals.

Responsibilities

• Sets up transfers of data feeds from source systems into locations accessible to the platform.
• Debugs issues related to delayed or missing data feeds.
• Writes transformations and derives new datasets using Spark for distributed computation.
• Monitors build progress and debugs build problems.
• Designs applications that address operational questions using the platform's application development framework.
• Performs rapid development and iteration cycles with SMEs, including testing and troubleshooting application issues.
• Executes requests for information (RFIs) surrounding the platform's data footprint.
• Iterates with product teams while debugging and understanding the code backing the core platform.
